Elizabeth had to say...
I don't keep up with the latest music; I prefer to fill my collection with music that is tried and true, something I know that is worth purchasing and keeping. Music from the 1990s tends to be my latest facination, but I'm also trying to get various bits from other interesting artists as they come to my attention. I have one of those huge cd cases that holds 200+ cds. I think I have room for at least 24 more cds, so I'm thinking of getting another huge cd case to help divide things by genre and such. I like to keep the front insert liner notes with my discs, mainly for the album artwork. (It's easier to identify the music in my head when it's associated with the album cover.) If I request front and back inserts, I would like the jewel case (plastic case or original packaging) with the disc(s). Part of this is for storage, and the other part is to have all of the album's artwork (like for cds that have envelopes and fold-out pages instead of the standard plastic case - example: Nick Drake's "Family Tree"). When possible, I will send the original jewel case and/or original packaging. Not only does it help with storage, like I mentioned, but it has a better chance of surviving the mail. |
